Cheer Camp

CAMP DESCRIPTION: Join us this summer for Cheer Camp! This fun and energetic camp is open to girls entering 1st–8th grade who want to learn the basics of cheerleading while building confidence and teamwork. Campers will learn Hillcrest cheers, stunts, and a short dance– along with the fundamentals of cheer & some cheer themed crafts. No experience is necessary—this camp is perfect for beginners who want to try cheer for the first time. Participants will enjoy a positive, encouraging environment while learning new skills, making friends, and having fun. Camp will conclude with a short performance for family and friends so campers can show off what they’ve learned. Come be part of the Hillcrest spirit and experience the excitement of cheerleading this summer!

Camp Director, Britt Wilson ’08, is the varsity cheer coach at Hillcrest Academy. Britt helped bring cheerleading back to Hillcrest after a 15-year absence and is passionate about building school spirit and creating opportunities for young girls to try cheer for the first time.

Outside of coaching, Britt is the owner of Flourish Home, where she works as an interior designer. She is also a Hillcrest parent with four children, three of whom currently attend the school, giving her a strong connection to the Hillcrest community.

Britt loves helping kids grow in confidence, learn new skills, and experience the fun and teamwork that cheerleading brings– nurturing each camper’s God-given and unique abilities to contribute to a strong and encouraging team.

LOCATION: Hillcrest Academy, 1421 540th St SW, Kalona, IA
ELIGIBILITY: Camp for students entering 1st-8th grade is limited to 40 students.
COST: $55 child
REGISTRATION & PAYMENTS: All camp registrations and payments will now be through the Bound website. 
WHAT TO BRING: Water bottle with child’s name on it
