Ravens Track & Field Compete at Ekstrand Relays

The Hillcrest Academy track and field teams traveled to Wayland Thursday to compete at the Ekstrand Relays hosted by WACO.  This was a two class meet.  Hillcrest competed in the small school class B division.  Madeline Fox made improvements in both hurdle events.  Fox ran a personal best in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.72 seconds.  She also recorded a season best time in the 400 meter hurdles of 1:22.32.  Fox placed seventh in both events.  She also placed tenth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 15.49.  Sarah Miller placed ninth in the shot put with a throw of twenty-three feet ten inches.  Samara Jimenez also competed in the shot put.  Her best throw was sixteen feet ten inches.  Ivana Ebersole placed twelfth in the discus with a throw of fifty feet ten inches.

Quang Huynh competed in both short sprint events.  He placed eleventh in both the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes.  His time of 13.69 seconds in the 100 meter dash is a new personal best.
