Ida Short’s Printmaking Featured in Art Gallery

The Hillcrest Art Gallery is currently featuring the art of Ida Short ’11. Her show, titled “What Will We Do When We Find Each Other?” is open to the public during the school day (please check in at the main office) and during events in Celebration Hall.

Much of the work for this show comes from an Artist Residency Ila did in Petaluma, California in August 2025. She had been exploring layering, paper weaving, paper making, drawing, and more leading up to this residency. Ida Short was born and raised near Kalona, Iowa. She graduated from (then Iowa Mennonite School) in 2011, studied Drawing and Printmaking at Goshen College and graduated from there in 2015.
