Hillcrest Academy Touring Choir Soars at MSC Choir Festival in Goshen, Indiana

The Hillcrest Academy Touring Choir took their musical talents to Indiana this past weekend, participating in the annual MSC Choir Festival hosted by Bethany Christian Schools in Goshen. The festival, held on April 5-7, brought together choirs from Mennonite schools across the country for a weekend of collaboration, competition, and celebration of choral music.

The Hillcrest Academy Touring Choir, under the direction of Mikayla Tackaberry, impressed audiences with their performance at both East Goshen Mennonite Church and during the festival concert in Sauder Auditorium at Goshen College. Their dedication and hard work throughout the semester culminated in polished and moving performances.

The MSC Choir Festival provides a valuable opportunity for young singers to connect with their peers at our sister schools and learn from experienced conductors. “The MSC Choir Festival is a highlight of our year,” says Tackaberry. “It allows our students to showcase their talents on a regional stage, learn from other talented choirs, and develop a deeper appreciation for choral music.”

The Hillcrest Academy Touring Choir returned home from the festival feeling inspired and motivated to continue their musical journey. Their local tour begins at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church on Sunday, April 14. Their remaining schedule is below.
