Drama
Another source of creativity and learning at Hillcrest Academy is in the drama program. Hillcrest has a long history of performing arts including drama and musicals. Each year we perform classic musicals or dramas as well as contemporary and period pieces.
All performances take place in our state-of-the-art 557 seat Fine Arts center, Celebration Hall.
Upcoming Performance
Monologues
This fall, the scheduled Hillcrest Academy production will take new direction due to current limitations on traditional performances. Three students selected monologues to prepare and perform in the three standard genres: dramatic, classic and comedic. After memorization and direction, Meredith Blossom, Ivana Ebersole, and Sarah Miller were recorded in audition format on the Celebration Hall stage.
Meredith Blossom
– Midsummer Night’s Dream
– DNA
– The Birds
Ivana Ebersole
– The Treachery of Images
– WYWH
Sarah Miller
– Kitchen Sink Drama
While you’re watching the Monologues, as an added bonus check out 2 songs that our Chorale sang and recorded.
