Parable of the Sheep & Goats: Chapel Jan. 23-27

For this week at Hillcrest Academy, our chapels were led by focusing on the parable of the Sheep and the Goats from Matthew 25:31-46. 

On Monday, we read through the passage using a reader’s theater approach. We then met in our small groups to come up with questions to discuss later in the week.

Tuesday’s chapel time was spent in our small groups.

We had a weather delay on Wednesday so we did not have chapel time.

On Thursday, we read through the passage again, listened to a song about the “least of these” and then responded to a few of the questions which were submitted from Monday’s chapel. The questions were focused on who are the “least of these” in our society, school, families and communities and how can we minister to Jesus through our interactions with them.

Friday’s chapel time was spent with our Service and Learning Term (SALT) groups. We will be spending the last week of March in 6 different groups doing a variety of activities for serving and learning. Today’s time was to help us begin to develop a sense of community within the groups.
