Ravens Fall to Falcons in Five

The Hillcrest Academy Raven volleyball team went the distance last week with visitors from Louisa-Muscatine before falling in a five-set Southeast Iowa Superconference match. The Falcons were winners 25-21, 25-27, 23-25, 27-25 and 15-11. Stat-leaders for Hillcrest included 30 assists for Emma Parizek. Brynna Boshart had 10 kills, Annika Schrock and Ruth Witthoft seven each. Claire Miller had 17 digs, Schrock, Boshart and Parizek 16 each. Schrock and Jalise Bailey each had a block and Witthoft had five aces and four each for Schrock and Parizek. The loss dropped the Ravens to 4-5, L-M is 2-2.
