Hillcrest Volleyball Bounces Back, Defeats WACO in Four Sets

Hillcrest volleyball recovered nicely after dropping its first set to WACO on Thursday, taking three consecutive sets to defeat the Warriors on their home floor.

WACO took the first set 25-21, but the Ravens controlled the game the rest of the way. Hillcrest tied things up at one set a piece with a 25-18 second, gained an advantage by taking the third set 25-10, and then took the fourth set in extras 26-24 to earn the overall victory.

Brynna Boshart led the Ravens in kills with 12. Annika Schrock had nine, and Ruth Witthoft had 7. Emma Parizek had 28 total assists. Boshart led the team in digs with 17. WACO was led in kills by Carlee Lunsford, who had 12. Ava Wagler had 10 digs.

With the win, Hillcrest improved to 2-2, while WACO dropped to 0-6.
