Hillcrest Softball Holds Off Lone Tree Comeback

Hillcrest softball held off Lone Tree’s late comeback effort, with the Ravens defeating the Lions 6-4.
The game’s first six runs belonged to the Ravens, spread out throughout the first five innings. However, in the top of the sixth, a dormant Lone Tree team began to wake, going for four innings to cut the deficit to 6-4. Fortunately for the Ravens, they were able to quiet the Lions again in the seventh, picking up the win in front of their home crowd.
Hillcrest had six hits, with Isabelle Vigneron going 2-2. Ella Mize brought in two RBIs. Lyla Genkinger earned the win in the circle, going all seven innings striking out eight.
Lone Tree also had six hits, with Abby Zaruba going 2-4. Adi Parizek and Ella Magruder each brought home an RBI. Zaruba took the loss, pitching six innings and striking out 10.
