Chris Ward Joins The Hillcrest Team

Head of School, Nate Miller announces that Chris Ward has been hired to serve as Hillcrest Academy’s Director of Stewardship. This position, along with the Head of School, is part of the new fundraising team led by the Director of Advancement. Chris brings experience and expertise in building relationships with a wide variety of people, lives a life of generosity and service, has strong organizational and management skills, and has positive energy and a passion for the Hillcrest mission and sharing it with others.

Chris earned his high school diploma from Creighton Preparatory High School in Omaha, Nebraska and his bachelor’s degree from Mt. Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Chris has most recently worked for the Appliance Barn/Grand Appliance in Kalona as a Manager.

Chris is married to Marcille (Yoder), a 2003 alumna, and they live in Joetown with their four children who attend Hillcrest and Pathway. He attends Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church where he serves as a Sunday school teacher and Junior Youth Fellowship sponsor. Chris enjoys camping and fishing with his family, watching his children participate in their activities and sports, and playing and watching soccer. He is very thankful to be part of the Hillcrest Community, excited to work with the Hillcrest team, and can’t wait to see how God continues to work in our midst.
