Ravens Rewrite Record Books, Capture Seven Wins at Kautz Invite

The Hillcrest Ravens girls track and field team won seven events, broke one school record and placed third of eight teams at the Mike Kautz Invitational meet in Lone Tree Monday night. The school record came in the 4 x 200 meter relay breaking a two-day old record set by the same relay team as the previous record. Karina Bourha, Adia Scott, Niva Helmuth and Rya Scott won the two lap race in 1:48.47 taking over a second off the previous record of 1:49.60 set Saturday. The same quartet also won the 4 x 100 relay in 51.58 edging out Highland by .07 seconds. Other event winners include Rya Scott in the 100 meters in 12.82, Adia Scott in the 200 meters in a personal best of 27.39 seconds, Marie Yoder in the 800 meters in 2:40.74, Siena Stanerson in the 1500 in 5:39.34 and Stanerson again in the 3000 in 12:12.83. Personal bests include Brynna Boshart in the 200 meters in 30.51, Amelian Vigneron in the 800 in 3:03.85 and Millie Severino in the shot put with a toss of 17 feet one half inch.

Four boys represented the Ravens at the meet. Event winners include Braden Hartsock in the 3200 meter run with a 11:51.51 clocking. Gibson Scott also won the 110 meter high hurdles in 17.84 seconds. Hartsock also ran a personal best of 5:31.22 in the 1500 meter run for fourth place. Kayden Estell’s personal best came in the 200 meter with a time of 24.28 seconds for second place.
