Ravens Fall to CVC Despite Strong Defensive Start

In windy conditions the Ravens defense led the way to a 0-0 halftime score against CVC. Unfortunately, five minutes into the half, CVC notched the first score of the match and added to their total picking up two goals during the run of play with the wind at their backs. 

The Ravens got one back after a throw-in into the box led to a scrum on the edge of the six yard box. Beating everyone to the ball, Jaxson Brokaw poked it by the goalie to make it 3-1. CVC finished the scoring with a head ball off a corner kick with three minutes left in the match. Garrett Bontrager recorded 11 saves.

The Ravens drop to 0-3 and play their first conference match at Highland, Tuesday. 

In JV action, the Ravens won 2-1 with goals from Evan Slaubaugh and Abe Widmer who directed a beautiful crossing ball from Brenden Neuschwander into the goal.
