Mark Fisher Named High School Math Teacher

Head of School, Nate Miller is pleased to announce that Mark Fisher will join the faculty as the high school math teacher beginning in the 2026–27 school year.

Mark holds a BS in History and a BA in Religious Studies from Iowa State University, where he also completed the pre-engineering program before changing majors. He later earned a Master’s in School Mathematics, also from ISU. A veteran teacher, Mark brings a breadth of teaching experience across multiple subjects, and has coached volleyball, track, and speech, and directed drama productions.

Mark and his wife Vicki have two adult children. Outside the classroom, he enjoys Lego robotics, swimming, rowing, walking his beagle, volunteering at church, and gardening. He is a member of the Lions Club and is professionally engaged with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Mathematical Association of America. He also has a personal interest in recreational mathematics and the mathematics of games.
