Ravens Sweep Warriors in Superconference Match, Oct. 9, 2025

A pair of KCII area volleyball teams locked horns at Hillcrest Academy in Kalona when the Ravens hosted the WACO Warriors. The home team took the win in straight sets 25-15, 25-12 and 25-15. Stat-leaders for the Ravens included Claire Withrow with 19 assists seven aces, and six kills, Brynna Boshart with nine digs, Niva Helmuth with eight kills, three aces and two blocks, Claire Miller with eight digs, Stavia Miller with six kills, Marryn Boshart added three aces.

For the Warriors, Taelyn Egli had 11 assists, Ava Wagler had nine assists and two aces, Carlee Lunsford eight kills and eight digs, Morgan Meyer had six assists, and Bren Graber four kills. The win left Hillcrest at 15-7 on the year as WACO fell to 5-15.

In a key Southeast Iowa Superconference clash Tuesday, the Wapello volleyball team took their match with the Hillcrest Academy Ravens in straight sets. The Arrows were winners 25-11, 25-11, 25-13. Top Wapello performers were Taeya Wagner with 16 assists. Mya Wagner with 14 digs and seven aces. Annaka Greiner with 11 assists. Mila Jordan with 10 kills and two aces. Macey Kuntz with 14 digs and seven kills.

For Hillcrest, Claire Withrow had 10 assists and eight digs. Claire Miller had 10 digs. Niva Helmuth finished with seven kills. Stavia Miller had three kills. The Ravens were 15-8 overall after the loss, dropping to 4-2 in the SEISC. Wapello remains on top of the conference, unbeaten through seven matches, with a 20-7 overall record.
