Ravens Rise with Personal Bests at Tony Proctor Invitational

Hillcrest Academy Cross Country at Burlington (Tony Proctor Invitational)

Hillcrest Ravens Marie Yoder and Siena Stanerson placed third and fourth at the Tony Proctor Invitational
in Burlington Thursday at the Burlington Recplex. Yoder tied her season best time finishing the five kilometer
course in 20:51. Stanerson lowered her season best time by over thirty seconds finishing in 21:19. Freshman
Carla Raphael finished her first race placing thirty-sixth in 32:55. Freshman Ali Seidl of Clear Creek-Amana
won the girls race in 19:58. Van Buren won the team title by three points over Clear Creek-Amana.

The Hillcrest Ravens boys cross country team members all had personal best or season best times on the flat
course at Burlington Recplex Thursday. Calvin Meller led the way placing eighteenth in a personal best time of
18:33. Braden Hartsock was next for the Ravens placing twenty-fourth in a personal best time of 19:07. Jaxson
Brokaw put himself out there early in the race and held on to finish in twenty-sixth place in a new personal best
time of 19:16. Isaac Beachy’s used steady pacing to record his fastest time of the year. Isaac placed forty-
second in 20:44. Mateo Rodriguez-Yoder lowered his season best by nearly three minutes placing fifty-fifth in
24:21. Lucas Beachy continues to show improvement. He placed fifty-seventh in a new personal best time of
26:31. The Ravens placed sixth as a team in the seven team field. Clear Creek-Amana won the team title.
Sophomore Carson Meskimen of Clear Creek-Amana won the individual title in 16:14.
