Senior Night Success: Ravens Soar Past Sigourney-Keota 11-2

The Ravens eight seniors led the way as they played their last regular season home game Tuesday evening beating Sigourney-Keota 11-2.
The Ravens started the scoring early, fifty seconds exactly, as Mason Bender took the ball down the right side, then sent a crossing ball into the middle where Mason Helmuth headed it by the goalie and into the net. The Ravens scored four more times in the half but allowed two goals to S-K for the 6-2 half-time score.
In the second half Hillcrest made sure there would be no comeback as Helmuth added two goals in quick succession. Shortly after Bryce Bailey came forward from his central defender position to score on a corner kick from Seth Ours. Finishing the scoring were Rowan Miller and Beckett Slaubaugh on an assist from Gerber.
Mason Helmuth led the way with 4 goals and an assist, Micah Gerber and Seth Ours each had 2 goals and 2 assists.
The defensive unit of Bryce Bailey, Kale Bailey, Isaac Birky and Lincoln Miller played well even as all the available players made their way into the game, allowing some of the younger guys the opportunity to get some varsity experience.
The Ravens improve to 5-2-1. Hillcrest returns to action Thursday traveling to Muscatine to play Columbus.
