Hillcrest Boys Golf Dominates, Girls Show Grit in Face of Tough Competition

Hillcrest boys Golf defeated Louisa Muscatine by a score of 172-224. It was the lowest the Ravens have shot this year. The Ravens were led by co-medalists of the meet Rowan Miller and Liam Schrock who each carded a 40. Seth Ours added a 41. Matthew Chalupa, Lawson Schrock and Ethan Yoder finished the varsity scores with 51, 52 and 53, respectively. On the JV side the Ravens were led by Rylan Good 47, Phoenix Anderson 49 and Danny Meyer 63.

The Hillcrest girls were led by three girls shooting in the 60’s;  Claire Withrow 63, Maria Portillo 66 and Izzy Frederick with a 69. This was Izzy’s third consecutive best round ever for her. Brynna O’Rourke finished with a 73. She also sank a 20 foot putt on hole number 6. Ava Miller added an 81. It wasn’t enough though, as L&M fired a 201 to Hillcrest’s 271.
