Golf Competes at Keota Triangular

The Hillcrest Girls Golf team shot their best team score for the second consecutive night. They posted a season best team total of 253 after just posting a 257 last night. Keota hosted a triangular that included English Valleys. Both of those teams did not field enough girls for a team score.

Coach Schintler commented, “The Hillcrest girls team is an amazing group of girls golfing their very first season. In the last two days, they have bested their team scores back to back, plus all 6 girls who competed the last two days have set personal golf scores either last night or today. There were some amazing chips and putts during a 40mph windy but warm day.”

Brynna O’Rourke led the Ravens with her personal best of 60. Ava Miller followed with her best of 62. Maria shot a 65, but had her best of 54 yesterday. Claire Withrow tied her best of 66. Natalie Meganathan shot her best of the year with a 70. Izzy Frederick had a 70 in each meet the past two days, her best two meets. They are all still hungry to get better, but they are all playing well!

The boys finished third in the triangular with a 188. They were just edged out by EV by just two strokes. Keota finished with a 168. Leading the Ravens and the day’s medalist was Rowan Miller with a 3 over par 39. Liam Schrock added a 42. Matthew Chalupa was steady at 52. Ethan Yoder added a 55 for the team total. Phoenix Anderson in his first varsity start had a 62. Rylan Good ended with a 68. Lawson Schrock for JV today performed very well, shooting a 52.
