Domination on the Pitch: Ravens Soccer Triumphs 10-0

The Ravens netted 5 goals in each half to end the game a few minutes early in Sigourney. Led by Rowan Miller’s four goals and Micah Gerber’s three goals, the remaining three goals were scored by Jesse Blossom, Phoenix Anderson and Isaac Birky. Seth Ours and Mason Swartzendruber each had two assists, while Lincoln Miller, Isaac Beachy and Jesse Blossom each added one assist. 

The goals included a three scored off of head balls with Gerber converting a crossing ball from Beachy, and in the space of a minute, Rowan Miller scoring twice, the first of a corner kick from Seth Ours and the second off a throw-in from Lincoln Miller. 

The defense played well on the small field, limiting Sigourney-Keota offensive chances. On one near chance Kyle Neuschwander knocked the ball away for the save, only to see the ball redirected at the goal. Here, Mason Helmuth stepped in and headed the ball out of the goal mouth and out of danger. 

Hillcrest is 3-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Ravens travel to  Burlington Notre Dame Friday evening.
