NHS Students Host Campus Blood Drive

Their motto was ‘Be a Hero, Give Blood!’

The Hillcrest Academy National Honor Society hosted a blood drive on the morning of Wednesday, March 6 in Hillcrest Union. Did you know that one blood donation can save up to three lives? That’s a massive impact you can make in just a short visit to campus. Their efforts paid off!

Through the work of the NHS students, the blood drive collected 26 units including 2 double red donations. The 26 units have the ability to improve the lives of up to 78 patients and their families both in Washington County and the surrounding region. The drive also produced seven amazing first time donors, which is critically important to the continued sustainability of the community blood supply.
