Finding Joy: Chapel April 17-21

Our chapel week began on Tuesday in small groups since we all had off school on Monday.

Wednesday’s chapel featured board member Sid Rowland speaking about Joy. Happiness is dependent on our circumstances while joy is the steady sense of God’s sustaining presence with us in every part of life.

On Thursday, we visited the parable of the lamp from Matthew 5:14-15, Mark 4:21-22, Luke 8:16, 11:33. We read through the scriptures and then responded to discussion questions in small groups. The chapel time concluded with a Bible Project video about the New Humanity that God calls us to be.

Friday’s chapel was a time of worship through music led by the Hillcrest Praise Band.
