The Hillcrest Academy track and field teams were back in action Monday night in Lone Tree at the Mike Kautz Invitational.  Conditions were excellent with seventy degrees, clear skies and a light breeze at the beginning of the meet.  Owen Scott and Jesse Blossom made up the Ravens boys team.  The pair managed to place sixth as a team in the field of eight teams.  Scott began the night in the long jump establishing a new personal best of nineteen feet eight inches to place second.  His high jump of five feet ten and one quarter inch landed him in a tie for second place.  Scott placed third in the 400 meter dash in a new personal best of 57.10 seconds.  Blossom placed fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.90.

Five lady Ravens competed in the girls meet and placed seventh in the eight team field.  Delaney Shaw had a great night placing second in the long jump with fourteen feet nine and one quarter inch.  She also ran a personal best of 1:09.46 in the 400 meter dash for fourth place.  Erin Bontrager also ran a personal best in the 400 of 1:21.11.  Bontrager and Anna Torok both recorded personal bests in the 200 meter dash.  Torok placed fifth in 30.68 while Bontrager ran 32.95 for fifteenth place.  Morgyn Nafziger was .01 away from her personal best in the 100 meter dash.  She placed fifth in 14.09.  Claire Withrow had the biggest improvement of the night taking sixteen seconds off her 800 meter time.  Her new personal best is 3:02.01.  The 4 x 100 meter team of Nafziger, Torok, Bontrager and Shaw won their heat in 57.29 and placed sixth overall.
