MSC Regional Choral Festival Information

“Every nation, tribe, people, and tongue!” is the theme for the MSC Regional Choral Festival to be held at one of our sister schools, Eastern Mennonite School in Harrisonburg, VA on April 14 and 15. Hillcrest Academy will be one of five choirs gathering to share their own songs and perform in a mass choir on Saturday, April 15 at 6:00 PM CST in EMS’ auditorium. Dr. Janet Hostetter, artistic and executive director of the Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir and a 1983 EMS alumnus, will conduct the mass choir of choral sacred music. Approximately 125 students will participate, coming from the following schools:

  • Central Christian School – Kidron, OH
  • Dock Academy – Lansdale, PA
  • Eastern Mennonite School – Harrisonburg, VA
  • Freeman Academy – Freeman, SD
  • Hillcrest Academy – Kalona, IA

Hillcrest Academy will be traveling to Harrisonburg, VA with Freeman Academy. Both choirs will be stopping in Kidron, OH for a joint concert with Central Christian School on Thursday, April 13.
