New Music Instructor Announced

Principal Dwight Gingerich announces that Mikayla Tackaberry will join the Hillcrest Academy team in the fall of 2023 to fill the Music Instructor position. The daughter of Jeff and Amy (Stutzman ‘88) Tackaberry, she is a graduate of Clear Creek-Amana High School and attends Veritas Church in Tiffin.

Mikayla will graduate this spring from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. Throughout college Mikayla has loved touring with the Orpheus Choir, being in theater productions, and choreographing for many variety shows. In her free time Mikayla loves to sing, dance, drink coffee, and play pickleball.

Along with her mother Amy, her aunt Leah and uncle Doug also attended Hillcrest Academy (then Iowa Mennonite School) in the 1980s. Mikayla replaces Mike Jewell and Adam Voth Unruh who have combined this semester as substitutes in the Music Department.
