Guests Take Part in Chapels Feb. 20-March 3

Over the last two weeks, we’ve had some cancellations and adjustments in our chapel schedule.

The Goshen College Chamber Choir singing in chapel

On Monday, February 20, we were privileged to have a friend of Mike Shapovalov visiting from California. His name is Vlad, and he recently came to the U.S. from Ukraine. Vlad told his testimony of how he became a Christian and how God has been working in his life since that.

There was no chapel on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday because of a planned late start, a cancellation, a late start, and meeting with SALT groups.

Thursday’s chapel was a hymnsing in the Celebration Hall foyer. The songs were selected with the theme of love – of God, for God, for each other.

Our chapel on Monday, Feb. 27 was with Alex Zimmerman and Don Patterson. They recorded a session of their podcast, Thursday Mornings with Alex and Don (TMAD). Lee Ebersole, Bible instructor and chapel coordinator, joined Don in answering the questions that Alex had selected from submissions from Hillcrest Academy students.

Tuesday’s chapel was spent in small groups.

On Wednesday, we were privileged to host the Goshen Chamber Choir from Goshen College in Indiana. Hillcrest Alum Sarah Miller was in the choir.

The Hillcrest Academy chapter of FFA hosted Thursday’s chapel by presenting a Kahoot about agriculture.

The chapel week was wrapped up with Hillcrest Academy Praise Band leading in worship through song.
