School Counselor: Leanne Bender

As we celebrate National School Counselor Week, Jamie Covel, who runs the Course to College program at Iowa College Aid, shares this about Leanne Bender, School Counselor at Hillcrest Academy.

Hillcrest Academy has been participating in the Course to College program since I started this position just over five years ago. Leanne does excellent work with her students and she is consistently engaging them in pursuing their postsecondary aspirations. She is a great advocate for her students. We’re very proud to have the opportunity to work with her! We appreciate your high school’s efforts to strengthen postsecondary planning in Iowa and we look forward to continued partnership with Hillcrest!
