Parable of the workers in the vineyard: Chapel Jan. 9-13

Our chapels for this week were guided by the parable of the workers in the vineyard found in Matthew 20:1-16. 

On Monday, we explored the scripture by reading through it, discussing it a bit, and then hearing a story from Sierra Cheney about her step-dad coming to faith late in life.

Tuesday’s chapel time was spent in small groups.

On Wednesday, Sierra led us in how to tell and retell the story. We worked with a partner to tell the story in a way that maintained all the details that Jesus included. 

We followed up on on chapel time from Wednesday to make a connection between the parable of the vineyard workers and the gospel (good news) of Jesus.

Our chapel time on Friday was a hymn sing in the Celebration Hall foyer.
