Compassion Club Students Serve At MOPS

Throughout the school year, we are providing 3-4 student volunteers who are giving childcare to 1-year-old and 2-year-old children, while their mothers attend MOPS International at Grace Community Church in North Liberty. They play games with the children, serve them snacks, and often take them to the gym to jump in the bouncy house.

According to the MOPS website, their mission is to gather and support mothers. They say, “We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. Our acronym stands for Mothers of Preschoolers because we began in 1973 when a group of moms with young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys. Over the past 45 years, MOPS has expanded our reach to include ALL moms.  In addition, we are partnering with churches and organizations worldwide to equip and encourage moms in more than 68 countries.”
