Hillcrest Cross Country Invitational

Monday, October 3 you do not want to miss the Hillcrest Cross Country Invitational held on the Hillcrest campus and in the Joetown woods.  This is likely the largest annual athletic event hosted by Hillcrest Academy.  This year is no exception.  Fourteen high school teams and twelve junior high teams are expected to compete at the meet.  Pella is ranked number one in 3A and is the heavy favorite in the girls race.  Washington girls are currently ranked eleventh in 3A and will be competing for the team title.  Pella is also the favorite in the boys team race.  They are currently ranked number two in 3A while Washington boys are currently ranked twelfth in 3A.  North Mahaska boys are ranked fourteenth in 1A and will also be in attendance.  Of course, you will want to be there to cheer for the Hillcrest runners.  They include Delaney Shaw, Jesse Blossom, Jeremiah Danker, Micah Gerber and Kyle Neuschwander.  

Admission is $5 per car.  Hillcrest passes will be honored.
