Parable of the Sower: Chapel Sept. 12-16

Parable of the Sower: Chapel Sept. 12-16

This week, we used the Parable of the Sower (Soils) (Seeds) which is found in Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

On Monday, we read through the story from all three gospels. Then in our homeroom groups, we responded to discussion questions about the story.

Tuesday’s chapel was spent in small groups where we had the opportunity to discuss the story more.

On Wednesday, English teacher Bryan Neuschwander helped us think about the Parable of the Sower. God’s nurturing presence and care is there as we encounter hard paths and things that might choke us like the thorns did to the seeds that fell among them.

For Thursday’s chapel, we planted some seeds as homeroom groups to show how seeds need to be nurtured and cared for in order to grow. Each homeroom now has either cilantro or radish growing in their rooms.

We ended our chapel week on Friday with a hymn sing in the Celebration Hall foyer. Songs were led senior Rebecca Farrier, English teacher Andrea Farrier, music teacher Kyle Coleman, school counselor Leanne Bender, and chapel coordinator Lee Ebersole. We ended with “You Shall Go Out With Joy!”
