Numerous Ravens softball players make their mark in the program’s record books

Three departing seniors (Leah Bontrager, Esther Hughes, and Norah Yoder), alongside freshman Malia Yoder, enter into the Hillcrest Academy Softball program record books in various statistical categories for their performance this year on the field. 

Leah Bontrager had a complete game mark of 20, good for sixth in a season.  She also had 88 strikeouts in a season, which was good for fifth best.  In her career, Leah Bontrager struck out 264 batters, which would is good for third best overall.

Esther Hughes’ 21 runs scored this season put her tied for sixth.  Her three triples put her tied for fourth for the season as well.

Norah Yoder’s outstanding .971 fielding percentage is tied for seventh in a season. 

And finally, Malia Yoder’s team high batting average this year of .437 is good for fifth best overall in a season.  This includes 31 hits for the season, which is a mark that ties her for fourth in a season, with an on-base percentage of .481. This puts her at seventh in the record books.
