Hillcrest golf had a rough outing this past Monday at Kalona Golf Course that had the Ravens dropping a triangular to Mid Prairie and Durant. The temperature was 91 degrees and it was a struggle in the heat. The Ravens came back Wednesday and qualified for Districts for the second year in a row at English Valleys.

On Tuesday, the Ravens worked on their short iron game, putting and chipping at Finkbine Golf Course. And it paid off.

The Ravens were runner up with a 381 team score clinching a District berth for the second year in a row. They became acclimated with the 93 degree heat and the clubs were just hot enough to get the job done today. They will play once again at Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City this coming Monday the 16th.

The Ravens were led by Jace Rempel with an 89, the 4th best score of the day amongst all golfers. He also led the Ravens with 6 pars. Luke Schrock and Liam Schrock were both steady with a 94 and 96, respectively. Josiah Beachy contributed with a 104, with a front nine 46. Though lone senior Alex Niemeyer did not have his best day with a 121, he has had the best two weeks of his two year Hillcrest career and he gets to go to Districts once again in his final year. Go Ravens!
