Noah Miller Wins The Stock Market Game

Marcus Miller’s first semester Economics class was named the winner of the The Stock Market Game sponsored by the SIFMA Foundation. Each team or person in the class started the session with an imaginary $100,000 to invest in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, currency and precious metals. Students learned the basics of investing, researched, and then bought and sold according to their best judgment. After participating in the program for several years it was fun to see the class as a whole do well, with all but one student increasing the value of their portfolio. Two students, Matt Davies and Noah Miller, finished in the top three, with Noah finishing the session in the number one spot, at $178,026.94.
