‘Guatemala Day’ In Advanced English
On Thursday of last week, students in Advanced English had a chance to bring some of their literary pursuits to life. Teacher Andrea Farrier, who lived in Guatemala with her family for four years, shared the sights, colors, and tastes of Latin America, along with some examples of her experiences there which connected to the idea of magical realism in the writing of Central American authors. Students especially enjoyed the stories and (as is usual for hungry teenagers) the food!
