Chapels January 24-28: He must become greater; I must become less

During this week, we used John 3:22-31 to focus our times in chapel.

On Monday, we read through the Scripture and then responded to discussion questions about the passage and how it connected to what we observed in John chapter 1. A major focus was on John the Baptist’s words in verse 30 referring to Jesus: “He must become greater; I must become less.”

Tuesday’s chapel time was spent in small groups. Groups had the opportunity to discuss the passage further.

On Wednesday, Lee Ebersole, Bible teacher and chapel coordinator, shared thoughts on our passage. We then viewed a video from the I Am Second series. The video featured Sujo John and his experience of going through the attacks on 9/11/01. His experience led him to reconsider his priorities and how Jesus should increase in his life.

We participated in a Kahoot on Thursday’s chapel to review what we covered in John 3 over the last 2 weeks.

On Friday, we wrapped up our week with a hymn sing in the Celebration Hall foyer. Songs were led by junior Rebecca Farrier, senior Ivana Ebersole, and English teacher Andrea Farrier.
