Bontrager Places 39th at State Meet

Senior Leah Bontrager placed thirty-ninth at the Iowa High School Cross Country Championships held in Fort Dodge Saturday.  Bontrager covered the five kilometer course in 21:23.89.  It was a beautiful day with temperatures in the mid-fifties, clear skies and virtually no wind.        

“This was Leah’s fourth time competing at the state meet.  Each year she placed higher than the previous year.  Today’s time nearly equaled her best state meet time of 21:22 run two years ago.  Leah has been a steady competitor despite a variety of challenges that have come her way.  Thanks be to God for leading Leah this far!”
