Ravens Battle in Postseason Play

The Raven’s volleyball squad battled ’til the end Monday in postseason play at HLV.  After a fantastic run to finish the regular season, winning 4 of their last 5 matches, the week off from live competition was too much to overcome.  All 3 sets were competitive – 20-25, 20-25, and 25-27.  Esther Hughes and Malia Yoder had 9 kills each.  Norah Yoder had 24 assists.  Evelyn Gerber has 12 digs and Malia Yoder had 17.  Six different servers had aces in the match.  The components were all there and scrimmages at Albia and Keota were great for the week off.  Monday night  there were just too many factors working for the home team, HLV. Coach Brandon Statler commented, “I couldn’t be more proud of this group!  It was clear from first meeting them, that they loved the game and were ready to work towards their goals.  I was proud to see them break through all the barriers they did to create a successful season for themselves.  My wish for them is that they remember that – Together Everyone Achieves More!”
