Bontrager Wins Girls’ Race!
Senior Leah Bontrager won her first cross country race ever at the English Valleys invitational Tuesday afternoon. The course on the Knoll Ridge Golf Course in North English is the most challenging course the team usually sees. Bontrager bid her time by not going to the front immediately. She took the lead midway through the race and never looked back. Leah’s winning time was 24:07 on the hilly 5 kilometer course. Morgyn Nafziger made the team’s biggest improvement over the previous two meets. Morgyn placed sixteenth in 29:35. Julia Boller was the Ravens third runner placing twenty-first in 32:06.
