Ravens Volleyball Clinch First Division Win of the Season

Back to conference action, the Ravens clinched their first division win of the season over the Louisa Muscatine Falcons Tuesday with a crowd thrilling team effort at Hillcrest Academy gymnasium. Esther Hughes capped off an athlete of the week performance with 11 kills, 11 digs, and 7 aces. Evelyn Gerber also chipped in 14 digs.

A conference road match fell just short Thursday night at Mediapolis High School. The Ravens contended for the win in all 4 of the first 4 sets falling just short in two of them. On to set 5. A few untimely service errors ultimately determined their fate, but 2 – 5 set losses in the last week prove the Ravens can hold their own in conference play. 40 kills in the 5 set match highlighted the team’s effort for a season high in kills recorded.
