Ravens golf competes at Districts for first time in 16 years

The Ravens finished in 8th place in the District Golf Tournament held at Pleasant Valley in Iowa City. Their 391 team total tied for their second best team total of the year. Hillcrest was led by Jace Rempel with a 90. London Schrock had a 91 with two birdies. Luke Schrock followed with a 97. Josiah Beachy had a 113. Alex Niemeyer followed with a 136.

    

The Ravens practiced hard all week golfing many holes at Pleasant Valley in preparation. The course was very wet to the point where the ground moved underneath your feet earlier in the week due to water saturation.

    

Coach Phil Schintler commented, “Even though they fell short of making it into the state tournament at the very end, they still had somewhat of a magical season. They should be proud to be the first team in 16 years to make it to districts. They earned it.”
