Times of Reflection: Chapel May 10-14

Senior Will Kolck reflects on his time at Hillcrest

We are nearing the end of the year, so a number of our chapels have to do with wrapping up the year.

One of the things that we give seniors the opportunity to do at the end of the year is to reflect on their time here at Hillcrest and how their faith has developed while they were here. On Monday, we heard from two seniors, Sarah Miller and Kennedy Roth.

On Tuesday, we met in small groups. Groups were encouraged to hear from the seniors in their groups as this was the last small group time that they will have at Hillcrest.

Wednesday’s chapel continued to feature seniors as they share their reflections. We heard from Dom Bouse, Will Kolck, and Elizabeth Slater.

The Hillcrest Praise Band led worship in their last chapel of the year. Songs were chosen by the seniors in the group. There are four seniors in the Praise Band; Madeline Fox, Will Kolck, Sophie Marshall, and Sarah Miller.

We wrapped up the chapel week by hearing from two of our departing faculty members; Maya Kehr Yoder and Mike Wagner. They each shared reflections about their time here. Maya was here for ten years and Mike for three years.
