Chapels Focus on Serving Others as a send-off for SALT

Our chapels this week have been guided by the scripture from Mark 9:33-55. 

On Monday, senior Elizabeth Slater shared her thoughts and perspectives on our scripture. One of the aspects of this text is that the “least of these” need help with their physical situation as well as their spiritual needs. Helping people is a whole person approach.

Tuesday (late start, no chapel)

Wednesday’s chapel was spent in small groups responding to discussion questions about the scripture and what Elizabeth had shared on Monday. 

On Thursday, we spent time writing affirmation notes to others at Hillcrest. This is to encourage each other and express appreciation for each other. We then had a sending prayer for the SALT groups going out the next day.
