Anchored by the seniors: Madeline Fox and Aaron Hershberger find success on the track
Three athletes from Hillcrest Academy competed at the Lone Tree Boys and Girls Track Invitational Monday night. Senior Madeline Fox started the evening off for the Ravens by winning the 3000 meter run in 13:59.85. This was her first time competing in the event. Fox also placed fifth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 21.23 seconds.
Both Aaron Hershberger and Quang Huynh sprinted the 100 meter dash. Hershberger was eleventh in 12.77 and Quang was fifteenth in a personal best time of 14.00. Quang
also ran a personal best of 28.73 seconds in the 200 meter dash. Hershberger had a huge personal best in the 110 meter high hurdles of 16.80, placing him second in the event. He also placed second in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:01.01, which is also a new personal best. The Ravens compete next on the oval at Central Lee Monday, April 19.
