Ag Construction Class Builds Homes for Owls

Students Will Kolck and Jack Endahl put the finishing touches on their Owl Boxes

Ag Construction is building Barn Owl Boxes to put up on student’s property as well as the Joetown Woodlot. .  Barn Owls are endangered in Iowa due to habitat loss, and are an important control on rodent populations.  We will put two up in the Joetown Woodlot in the best locations according to the DNR, and then will observe them through the spring to see if anything moves in.  Plans were taken from the Iowa DNR.

Members of the Ag Construction class are Sarann Durflinger, Will Kolck, Jack Endahl, Collin Miller, and Sophie Marshall.
