Ravens volleyball face their challengers head on

Last night the Ravens had tough competition for their conference tournament match up at Central Lee. Having to face two good teams – Central Lee and Notre Dame – they certainly had a tough night ahead of them. The Ravens never backed down and faced their challengers head on, putting up a good fight, but eventually losing both matches in two games. The Ravens lost to Central Lee 9-25 and 11-25. They also lost to Notre Dame 12-25 and 9-25. Highlights of the night include Esther Hughes with five kills, followed by Evelyn Gerber with three and Malia Sedlacek with two. Leading the night in assists was Yanitza Gutierrez with six, followed by Norah Yoder with two. Grace Miller ended the night with 12 digs, Sedlacek had 10, Gerber had nine, Yoder had seven, Gutierrez had six, Hughes had two, and Sophie Marshall had one. Gerber lead the night with two aces. Ravens face Winfield-Mt. Union on October 1 at 6 pm.
