Biology classes hold GMO debate

On March 3, Hillcrest biology classes held a debate about GMOs and if they are good or bad. For one week leading up to the debate, students were divided into teams and gathered research to support their side of the debate.  During the debate, students were asked to cite their sources for each arguement, and each group was encouraged to question the other groups’ sources for bias.  Biology teacher, Mike Severino-Patterson acted as the moderator/time keeper and faculty were invited to be outside observers of the debate.
