Hillcrest hosted Columbus on Senior Night Tuesday and jumped out early on the way to a 55-36 win over the Wildcats. The Ravens led 25-6 after one quarter and 37-17 at the half. The lead would grow to 27, as everyone got in on the action for Hillcrest.

Eli Ours paced Hillcrest with 22 points and Kobe Borntrager tallied 14 points. Aaron Hershberger scored eight points. John Hughes had five, Noah Miller scored four and London Schrock completed the scoring with two points. Borntrager had four steals, and Drew Blauvelt and Hershberger each had three steals. Borntrager had a team-high seven assists.

Coach Dwight Gingerich said “it was really good to see us jump out to a lead early over this team that we really struggled with at their place. Defensively, we did what we wanted to do, and I thought our offensive execution was solid, especially through the first part of the game.”Hillcrest goes to 9-7 to close the conference regular season, 9-8 overall. The Ravens next play on Friday at New London in a boys doubleheader in the SEISC Shoot-out, with the JV Boys starting at 6 PM, Varsity boys to follow.
