Sarena Gerber Earns Academic All-State Award

Sarena Gerber earned academic all-state honors for her 2019 cross country season.  To qualify for the recognition a cross country team member must be a senior, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or better, score 28 or higher on the ACT and place in the top 30 at the state qualifier meet.  Gerber is one of 36 girls cross country runners in the entire state who earned this honor in 2019 presented by the Iowa Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The entire Hillcrest Academy girls cross country team earned academic all-conference honors this season.  Each team member had a grade point average of 3.5 or greater for the fall quarter.
