NHS Hosts Blood Drive

Forty-four units of blood were donated at Hillcrest Monday, Nov. 4,  during a Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center drive hosted by the Hillcrest Academy National Honor Society. The goal of 42 donations was exceeded! There were 8 first time donors which Chris Ciasto, coordinator for MVRBC, explained is “critically important for the continued sustainability of the community blood supply!” The donations by faculty, staff, students, parents, and other community persons were greatly appreciated and made this blood drive a success. Up to four people can be helped with each unit of blood which means 176 patient lives were impacted. Thank you to all who participated in the blood drive!
