Cross country teams travel to Center Point

Sophomore Collin Miller was the Hillcrest Ravens number one for the second time this season at the Stormin’ Pointer Invitational in Center Point Tuesday.  Miller toured the five kilometer course on the campus of Center Point-Urbana schools finishing in 23:41 placing seventieth overall.  His mile splits deviated from the mean by three seconds or less which really helped his overall time.  Owen Swartzendruber was the team’s number two placing seventy-fourth in 24:44.  Jesse Slater held off Toby Chen to place seventy-fifth in 24:52.  Chen was seven seconds back in 24:59 running his fastest time of the year.  The Ravens did not have five finishers preventing Hillcrest from having a team score.  Center Point-Urbana placed four in the top five and won the team title.  Luke Post of CPU won in 17:10
